Self respect is the most important quality in a person. Unless one respects himself, he cant respect others. It is even worse when ego centric people lack this very quality of selfrespect, which can be distructive as they would go around demoralising others for no reason!
An advice for such people: stay out of my life (for that matter from any human's life; you deserve to be in an asylam)!

One who really has morals can never be demoralized because such an individual always stands by his morals irrespective of circumstances and consequences. Morals are concrete. When morals collapse, individuality collapses. The fact that someone can get demoralized means that that someone had flawed morals or no morals at all.
ReplyDeleteSelf respect and ego can be separated by very thin but definite line. It depends on which quality you let yourself rule, how one judges others with respect to this and how one judges himself with respect to same. What is self respect to one may be ego to someone and vice-versa. What may be subverting ego to one may be lack of self respect to other...

ReplyDeleteI do agree with what you said. But in reality, there is another aspect of demoralising. That is demoralising others with false allegations to gain attention. This can hamper the image and individuality of the person in question. That is what I meant. Also, There is a thin line between ego and self respect! People who lack self respect does not understand what it is and they often misinterpret it for ego!
If this is what you intended to say, the blog did not emanate that, hence the comment. I am sorry, but you need to pick up on words and be sure what you meant to write and justify it aptly.
ReplyDeleteOne never gains attention by demoralizing anyone. On the contrary, it puts the person who does that, publicly or personally, in bad light and that is different from attention. If they are mere false allegations, they can always be proved wrong. One need not worry about it. The fact that they bother you means they are not allegations, and definitely not to seek attention because that is at the cost of spoiling his/her own image. And a person who is cunning ( I would say foolish) to defile anyone is (should) also (be) sassy enough to understand this.
Image gets hampered if you have done something worth that. If you are fair and square and eggheaded, you really need not bother about anyone saying anything. That is exactly what I meant when I said..'One who really has morals can never be demoralized'.
With the last line of the comment, we are back to square one..

Mr/Mrs Anonymous, I am not gonna argue with u on this cos, I have lost my interest on this chapter. N what u are talking about is with out taking it into consideration about the human mentality and how things work in today's society. From your comments I ma sure you are a girl/female/woman, cos ur vision and thoughts are centred around idealism. I am in no ways saying that girls are always this way in thinking, But mostly they miss out on practical aspects.
