THE EGOTIST!

Its just another crappy writing, but I think it has some meaning to it!

The one with ego is an apple rotten from with in
it shall no see the rot!
Big, red and bright outside,
but did u know its maggots inside?

The destruction it brings knows no bounds
for you are blinded by the thought of yourself!
All hails and praises you may enjoy
Because that is all what you seek and hear so you rejoice!

Critique is you enemy
and the dead are your friends
as they shall not speak a word,
but shall hear all your boastings!

Your world is round and it ends with your sound
that echoes in your head and you feel thats what the world say!
You have forgotten my dear
that there is a world outside that you have shunned yourself to!

Oh my egotist you belong to the world of nazis
for all that matters to you is the destructiveness -"I"!
Look around and you shall see,
whether you are alive or dead it shall not mean a thing!

Then why my egotist are you clinging on to your own selfness
when there is nothing that you can achieve!
You might scale the Everest or the deepest of the ocean beds,
but your achievements are void
if you forget to see where the rest of the world is!

Be open minded and think of others for a reason or two
as it shall bring glory to you!

You can never be my love , nor be my sorrow
For there is no room in my heart that you can borrow!

ANNA HAZARE AND HIS FAST UNTO DEATH- A MOCKERY!

For past few months Indian media has been focusing on a 74year old chap called Anna Hazare or dearly called as Anna. On the back drop of 2G spectrum scam and CWG scam, there is no other movement that would have gathered as much momentum as an anti-corruption movement and as it stared with one Anna, it has managed to mobilise several millions. But it would be too far fetched to say if al the people who have submitted their support to this gandhian actually knows of its consequence.

Its been all about a anti-corruption bill, one framed by "civil society"( i dont really know if it actually has to be called so) and the other by politicians or MPs of Indian parliament, the seat of world's largest democracy! From my point of view both the bills are totally flawed. The Jan lokpal bill framed by the civil society group is far more demanding in terms of human resource and fanatical assistance and it would rather topple the Indian democracy in the name of corruption eradication. On the other hand its views on acquiring the graft or bribe from the corrupt officials are worth applauding! The lokpal bill tabled by the UPA or MPs of the ruling congress alliance is like a claw-less tiger, a body that would be in existence mearly as an eye wash techniques. It does not talk about how to deal with the corrupt official or about the graft and so on. But two most important difference is that Jan lokpal bill calls for an independent body under which even the Prime ministers office and higher judiciary and the parliament would come under. This body will also have its own investigation wing and a tribunal for prosecution. This is totally unacceptable to the MPs across the party line and to me. According to me this would only lead to political instability in India. Lets take for example the 2G spectrum scam. Had the PMO's office been under the ambit of lokpal and if it existed, based on Mr. Raja's revelation even PM would have been under investigation and this would create ripples across the nation and would lead to political instability. On the other hand, if a PM is accused of a scam or wrong doing what is wrong if he is prosecuted after his term. Being the person with the highest power in our democratic set up and looking at the responsibilities it hold, I think it deserves immunity fro such prosecutions for the sake of a stable government and for our democracy to exist. The multi-party system has already left Indian democrasy tripled and this would just add to it! We also have to take into consideration that we are not living in a ideal world where no other country is interested in our business. It is not so, we live in a neighbourhood where every country wants to see our downfall or to nuke us. In the past and in the present, several countries have played with in our societies to create instability and it will continue to be so. So as an Indian, my first concern is about very existence of India as a state in the borders defined as of today! I would never support any legislature that would endanger my country's existence or its stability. to end this particular aspect I would say, that PM's office and higher judiciary must be kept out of the ambit of lokpal!

My second worry is about the human resource and funds that would be required for setting up the lokpal system if Jan lokpal is accepted in its current form. How much more of the tax payers money should go into governance? Should this be our only concern? Will this actually address the problems of a common man?? If the answer is no, then I dont see a point in it! After all who knows if the very lokpal will abstain itself from corruption. If it doesn, then there are more corrupt mouths and hands to feed than the ones that we already have today and I am happy feeding less mouths and hands!

Now something that I am too curious is about the exchange of words between the US diplomat and a congress man that was reported recently. The congress man wanted the US to make it clear on its stand on Lokpal/Jan lokpal bill and he also questioned the role of US in it. The reason why it evoked much curiosity in me is for the sole plausible fact that it could actually be funded by foreign or western governments( not directly, but often through multi national companies, NGOs and so on) who often feel that their ideologies are far better than the eastern ideologies or the way how it functions. The best example that could be sited is the Romanian revolution in the latter quarter of 20th century when Romanian democrasy was born through a revolution. Often multi national companies have openly accused Indian system as the most corrupt and a place most difficult to do business with. So could it be actually be so that its the western powers and these companies that actually fuelled the movement? The wiki leaks, 2g scam and then an anti-corruption movement... looks like a string of events pre designed and well orchestered; Hence every NGO and every person supporting this movement should be investigated for the source of its income and ideologies.

So to me, this bill would be more effective and worthy if,
1) Fast investigation and prosecution of corrupt people or organisation (including NGOs and corporate bodies)
2) Attachment of property of the convicts that are gained through bribe.
3) Severe penalties for corruption.
4) A transparent system of lokpal.
5) PMO and Higher judiciary be kept out of the ambit of lokpal.

Now lets dig a little deeper. What do you this is the biggest problem that we as Indians face today?? How far can a lokpal/jan lokpal bill actually bring some relief to families that have lost their kids in a police fire?? How many girls who are sold into flesh trade can better from this bill in either of its form?? How many of the hungry stomachs would be happy if either of the bill is passed??? How many of the farmers who have been forcefully evicted of their lands for SEZs or a factory will be justified/ would get some justice if this bill is passed?? I dont this this bill is an answer to any of this questions. This bill in either of its form is flawed and does not address the problems of the masses. If we put in this effort for an effective educational policy and to make Right to education a successful fundamental right of every child, there is nothing that would serve this country better. Illiteracy and lack of civic education is the sole reason for rampant corruption. The only one process that could change the corrupt mind set of Indians is proper education with emphasis on civic duties to every citizen of the country. This is what we have to focus on to have a just society in the future. If this is not attained at the soonest, we will never be able to achieve the millennia goal of being a super power!

Purpose of life???

Most f u might wonder what the purpose of (your) life is? We as simple human beings, can we make a difference or a difference of greater impact (to the world, humanity or to any section or life)? But I think, its not necessary that u make a difference and the purpose of life is not pre designed or pre decided (by god or any power that one might believe in)!For you being the only one responsible for your own action and its consequences, its you who make a purpose for your life and decide up on to achieve it or not!
We are all simple dots on a white board - minuscule, futile and inept by itself! But when dots are observed from a greater distance, it starts to make sense, like patterns. Your motive and contribution is like how important a particular point is to bring that pattern into life with a meaning!

Hemavan- Umansjo – A little heaven!

I visited Umansjo when our boss took us to his summer house for a lab retreat. It is a sparsely populated town/village of Sweden. That outing was indeed a great one, where we talked a little about science and also ventured to conquer the hill tops of Hemavan and also picked mushrooms. We also went to Sweden – Norway border. This place is heavenly, when we went in Sept 2010, it was rather cold, yet nice and the canopies of trees were a mix of green and yellow. It was heavenly. Much to the excitement was the water bodies and cascades. Thinly populated, free of pollution and nearly untouched nature. Water bodies were so clean that one could see the bottom of the lakes and water was portable. I also saw glaciers for the first time. Besides feasting on the nature’s beauty, good food and jokes added to the merry of the trip. The night before we left Hemavan, we played Risk. I must admit, I lost first but I really liked this game and enjoyed watching others fight each other on a silly game board!
